Known Problems with Windows 3.x ------------------------------- The iPass dial wizard, FTP, Ping and Telnet programs are not available on Windows 3.x. The Registration Wizard sometimes crashes when you close it. The crash happens after your account details have been updated on the PC, so it does not affect your use of the Launcher. You cannot register without installing Internet Explorer 3.03, but the Register button on the Setup program becomes enabled once you have installed the Launcher. Do not click the register button until you have installed both the Launcher and IE. Hotspots occasionally are not displayed correctly due to memory problems. Restarting Windows normally fixes this. The Registration Wizard may lock up if it is run at the same time as the Launcher. Avoid running them at the same time. If the LAN option is selected in the Dialler Settings dialog in the Launcher, when the browser or mail is launched, Internet Explorer will try to use Dial-Up Networking to make the connection. Only Dial-up access is currently usable on Windows 3.x. Windows 3.11 is detected as Windows 3.10 on the Hardware Screen of the Registration Wizard. Secure HTTP is not used for registration on Windows 3.1. However, registration information is not transferred across the Internet if you use a modem to register your account.
